Fae Friday is an awesome new weekly post created by Kristy at Caffeinated Fae. I’m super excited to participate in this (and to have been an avid supporter of it from the beginning)! A topic is provided each week, and Kristy is so welcoming to ideas from others. If you have any ideas for topics, reach out to her through her blog or on Twitter (@caffeinatedfae).
Here’s the rules:
- Link back to this page on Caffeinated Fae.
- If the prompt idea comes from another blog, link to that blog as well.
- Use #FaeFriday when posting to social media so we can all find each other!
- Participate when you can and have fun with the prompt!
This week’s prompt is: What book lived up to the hype?
There’s so many books to choose from for this prompt!
Recently I read Wings of Ebony by J. Elle, and this book was sooooo good. In fact, I think it’s underhyped, and I want everyone to go out and read it immediately! You can find my review here.
Another one was Beach Read by Emily Henry. Everyone was talking about how great it was, and I just didn’t jump on the bandwagon until recently even though I have no idea why not. But it absolutely lived up to the hype. You can find my review here.
Jade City by Fonda Lee also lived up to the hype. I was sucked into the story right away, and the combination of a fascinating magic system, intriguing mythology, gang structure and their involvement in politics, and believable characters that I couldn’t help but love had me unable to put this book down. You can read my review here.
I’m going to stop here, because otherwise I’m going to just keep raving about books non-stop. But I want to hear from you too.
What are some books that you felt lived up to the hype?
