Top Ten Tuesday

TTT – NetGalley Spring Cleaning

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

This week’s topic is a spring cleaning freebie. And my NetGalley TBR list has been on my mind a lot lately. Mainly because books are accruing faster than I’m reading them, and I’ve now got 21 books piled up. So my Top Ten Tuesday post this week is all about the NetGalley books that I’m going to read sooner rather than later. Because obviously if I say it on here, someone is going to hold me accountable, right? PLEASE?

  1. Are We There Yet? By Kathleen West — March 16
  2. The Light of the Midnight Stars by Rena Rossner — April 13
  3. Malice by Heather Walter — April 13
  4. Anchored Hearts by Priscilla Oliveras — April 27
  5. Heart on a Leash by Alanna Martin — April 27
  6. Cool for the Summer by Dahlia Adler — May 11
  7. A Master of Djinn by P. Djèlí Clark — May 11
  8. That Thing About Bollywood by Supriya Kelkar — May 18
  9. The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren — May 18
  10. Happy Endings by Thien-Kim Lam — May 18

What are some books that you’re planning to knock off your NetGalley TBR in the next few weeks?

  1. I had no idea Rena Rossner had another book on the way, so that’s going straight onto my TBR! I’m still desperately trying to catch up on my NetGalley backlist, but I’m currently reading How To Disappear by Gillian McAllister and I’m enjoying it a fair amount. Good luck with your reading!

  2. Lots of good looking books! I gave up on NetGalley because I NEVER read the books I got lol Then it just started piling up and became a stressor for me. BUT YOU CAN DO IT! I would start with The Light of the Midnight Stars because it sounds super interesting! Happy reading!

    • Thank you! I tend to read them in the order that they’re due so that I don’t get jammed up when it comes to the dates. But I’m really excited for all of them.

  3. Sheesh, an embarrassment of riches! 😂 I’d recommend starting off with A Master of Djinn (because that author is getting some really big accolades I think) or Rossner (because that book cover is too lovely for words).
P.S. Heart on a Leash also looks great because the dogs are ❤

    • Hahahahaha, I generally read my NetGalley books in order of when they’re due, otherwise I get myself in trouble with having them read in time. But I’m really excited about all of them.

  4. It’s like that meme I used to have, State of the ARC 🙂 I think Sarah still holds it every month, so you could link up! Easiest to find the links through my Twitter profile, it’s a few retweets down cause I don’t use Twitter so much anymore xD if you need a boost with ARCs, linking up every month helps with the motivation 🙂

  5. Haha, I attempted to do this one year… *cough* it … totally didn’t work for me 😂 But you’re like x10 times more diligent than I am with my ARCs (seeing as I have… many LOL) so I have no doubt YOU CAN DO IT! You’re so lucky to have got the ARC for The Soulmate Equation! I can’t wait to read it 😍 I hope you enjoy all of these, Leah!

    • I’m so glad to hear that about Anchored Hearts, because I read Island Affair (the first book in the series) and didn’t love it. But I hope I connect with this one better, and I’m really looking forward to The Soulmate Equation.
