Fae Friday is an awesome new weekly post created by Kristy at Caffeinated Fae. I’m super excited to participate in this (and to have been an avid supporter of it from the beginning)! A topic is provided each week, and Kristy is so welcoming to ideas from others. If you have any ideas for topics, reach out to her through her blog or on Twitter (@caffeinatedfae).
Here’s the rules:
- Link back to this page on Caffeinated Fae.
- If the prompt idea comes from another blog, link to that blog as well.
- Use #FaeFriday when posting to social media so we can all find each other!
- Participate when you can and have fun with the prompt!
This week’s prompt is all about ourselves, and asks the question: Why do I blog?
At first, I started blogging because it was a great way to share about the books that I loved (and didn’t love). But it grew into a great way to connect with others. I’ve met some really awesome people through blogging, and I love to see how people have similar or different viewpoints on books. And while book blogging will probably never earn me any income to speak of, it does get me early access to books and put me in contact with incredibly talented authors.
Why do you blog?

It really is a wonderful way to connect with people and express yourself creatively. Thank you for sharing and being a part of blogging!

At this point, I’ve stopped asking myself the question of why I blog xD nearly nobody comes to my blog anymore (because I don’t have time to go to theirs anymore), and I can buy my own books, i honestly don’t need the review copies. But then again, getting one is just such a thrill for some reason. And I don’t know… I just don’t want to stop, even though my blog is nothing like it used to be when I was still active. But for some reason, i keep going! There must be something to it 🙂

I miss you!! That thrill of getting an ARC is so real – getting it before you can buy it. I’m going to have to make a point to visit you more often. 💕

Why thank you! I’ve been super busy, so I haven’t had as much time to blog hop as I’d like, but I’m hoping to get back to doing that soon.

I am pretty much what people call an accidental blogger! Just started doing it because I wanted to 😂😅 never thought that I would literally meet a whole community of people who love to talk about books and writing and creativity! And this is just awesome! So, yep! Same reason I guess! Talk about books. Share about books. Spread bookish love.❤️😇

Initially I started blogging just as a way to write down all my thoughts on the books I was reading as I don’t really have many friends who read. I had no idea there was such a huge community out there and I definitely feel like I’ve been embraced by the blogging community and have been able to read so many wonderful new releases, make new friends, take part in bookish memes and other fun stuff. I’ve loved it and I am sure ill continue for a long time to come!
