Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.
This week’s prompt is about memorable things that book characters have said, but I’m literally the worst with remembering quotes from books. So instead, I’m going to talk about ten book series that I want to continue or finish reading!
- The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi. My library hold of The Bronzed Beasts just came in, and I’ve finished rereading the first two books, so I’m ready to get started on the last one!
- Camelot Rising by Kiersten White. I just got approved for The Excalibur Curse on NetGalley, so I better get started with rereading the first two books. It’s been a while since I read them, but I really want to find out what happens!
- The All Souls series by Deborah Harkness. After finishing the first book in the series, A Discovery of Witches, I’m so hooked and can’t wait to get started on the rest.
- The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Book 9, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone is coming out this month, and I’ve already put a hold on it at the library. I’m looking to this chapter in Jamie and Claire’s story.
- The Nevermoor series by Jessica Townsend. After reading The Trials of Morrigan Crow, I am completely and totally hooked on this series.
- The Hell’s Library series by A.J. Hackwith. The first two books were so creative and intriguing, that I am incredibly curious about where the next book is going to take the series.
- The Kingdom of the Wicked series by Kerri Maniscalco. Kingdom of the Cursed came out and I still haven’t gotten my hands on it. I seriously need to rectify this as soon as possible.
- The Mercenary Librarians series by Kit Rocha. I was stunned at how much I enjoyed this post-apocalyptic series, and have got to get my hands on a copy of the second book as soon as I can.
- The Kingsbridge series by Ken Follett. I read the first book, and the second has been sitting on my shelf for a while. I’ve been promising myself that I’ll be reading it this month, and although the books are extremely long, the historical fiction is fascinating.
- The Last Hours series by Cassandra Clare. I can’t wait for Chain of Thorns to come out, since I’ve really enjoyed this series. Probably the most out of all of her books.
I’d add the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin, but it doesn’t look like that series is getting finished anytime soon, so …
What are some series that you’re looking forward to finishing?

I confess I want to START a few of these series: Outlander and Discovery of Witches. I had a harder time on this list than I thought I would because I wanted to make sure I knew which character said the quote and my memory isn’t what it used to me. Hence I chose quotes from books I’ve read several times. Ha! My character quotes

I’m the worst with remembering quotes, hence me taking my list in a completely different direction. I only recently read A Discovery of Witches and got hooked immediately, but I’m eagerly anticipating the newest Outlander book – the series is so good! I hope you get to start them soon!

World without end is my favorite book in the Kingsbridge series. Nevermoor is so good too. Happy reading! My TTT https://readwithstefani.com/top-ten-audiobook-recommendations/

I’ve heard that from more than just you – I just have to set aside the time to devote to it. But I swear I’ll get to it this month.

The Mercenary Librarians series by Kit Rocha sounds excellent. I hadn’t heard of this one, but it looks to have some cool Urban Fantasy vibes so I’m all for it. And I hear you on Outlander, of course. 🙂

It’s more of a post-apocalyptic romance/sci-fi book? But it was so intriguing, even if it wasn’t exactly the type of book I normally read. And Outlander is definitely my jam.

I’m absolutely terrible at finishing series! In fact, I’ve gone so long without finishing some series that I don’t think I’ll ever get around to reading their final books, which is a shame, because in most cases I really enjoyed the first installments!

Oh, I’m the opposite – I’m a serial series-finisher. I’ve actually started rereading early books on audiobook so I’m more up-to-date when I read the last book.

I also need to read the rest of the Kingsbridge trilogy, and the All Souls trilogy. Both have been on my TBR for years!
I also went off-topic this week: https://fiftytwo.blog/2021/11/09/ttt-books-you-recommend-the-most/

I’ve not started any of these series, but man, I have a ton that I need to finish one day! And if it wasn’t for the ability to highlight things on my Kindle, I’d never remember quotes either. 🙂

It’s so hard to remember quotes, isn’t it? Unfortunately, I tend to prefer reading hard copies, and usually read library books, so I’m kind of out-of-luck when it comes to quotes.

I really liked OUTLANDER when I read it, but I never continued on with the series for some reason. Now, I would have to go back and re-read the first book to remember who’s who and what’s what before going on and I really don’t like re-reading, especially ginormous books! I hope you enjoy the next book in the series.
Happy TTT!

It’s so worth it! Usually when I reread, I get the audiobook from the library and listen to it on a faster speed, since I’m familiar with the basics of the story and don’t have to focus on everything. I’ve loved that series so much!

Thanks! I’ve started rereading some series when a new book comes out, and it’s the only way I’d have time to get through them! Otherwise, you can check out https://recaptains.co.uk/ which has a summary of Outlander (and other books).

I know! It’s one of the most creative series I’ve come across in a while, and I’ve really loved the first two! I seriously have to reread the first two so I can start book 3!
