Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.
It’s time for another seasonal post, and the prompt for this week is books on my Fall 2024 to-read list. Fall is my favorite time of the year, and thanks to Jana, I’ve been making seasonal TBRs for as long as I’ve been doing Top Ten Tuesday. I don’t even have to look at my summer TBR to tell you that I haven’t read any of the books, so I’m not even going to check my progress.
With autumn comes the start of cooler weather and spooky season. I always have more of an urge to read darker stories and to binge read series as the weather changes, with an emphasis on mysteries, paranormal stories, and even a little horror lite. I’ve been really focusing on getting through my ARCs, and haven’t really made much time to read the books that aren’t ARCs. I also haven’t been keeping up with all the new books coming out this season, but here are some that I’m really hoping to read in Fall 2024:

- Magical Meet Cute by Jean Meltzer. | Goodreads | Amazon | I got a copy of this, but as a Jewish and witchy romance featuring a golem, I figured that this was the perfect book to kick off spooky season without getting scary.
- The Mighty Red by Louise Erdrich. | Goodreads | Amazon | I have yet to read any Erdrich books, but I’ll be aiming to read this or another of her books in November to expand my horizons with Indigenous literature.
- Madwoman by Chelsea Bieker. | Goodreads | Amazon | This one just looks so intriguing, with a woman who has concealed her past but now has to reevaluate the circumstances.
- Small Rain by Garth Greenwell. | Goodreads | Amazon | I came across this while browsing books coming out in the fall, and this caught my attention.
- A Reason to See You Again by Jami Attenberg. | Goodreads | Amazon | This is another one that caught my attention, since I’m a sucker for generational sagas.
- Here One Moment by Liane Moriarty. | Goodreads | Amazon | She’s become one of the authors I really enjoy reading, and I’m hoping that the library wait list won’t be too long.
- Spectacular by Stephanie Garber. | Goodreads | Amazon | How could I pass up a new addition to the Caravan series, which I thought was done?
- Diavola by Jennifer Marie Thorne. | Goodreads | Amazon | This actually looks right on the verge of my scariness limits, but I’m going to have to check with my horror-loving bestie before starting.
- An Academy for Liars by Alexis Henderson. | Goodreads | Amazon | Dark academia is the perfect fit for my fall TBR list.
- Exposure by Ramona Emerson. | Goodreads | Amazon | This is a sequel to a debut that I adored, and can’t wait to see what comes next.
What are some books on your Fall 2024 TBR list? Do we have any books in common?

I’m already a big fan of Jean Meltzer, after reading The Matzah Ball. I couldn’t resist a love story featuring a potential golem!

It does! I’m not usually a fan of horror, but that one looks like it won’t be terrifyingly scary.

Magical Meet Cute is such an adorable sounding book, I’m trying to hold off reading until Jewish Heritage Month, but not sure I’ll be able to!

I enjoyed HERE ONE MOMENT. It’s not my favorite Liane Moriarty book by far, but it’s still a good one. The premise is super intriguing! I hope you enjoy all these.
Happy TTT!

These look interesting. I doubt that I have achieved very much on my Summer TBR either 😂. This TBR list is full of Blog Tour and Netgalley books so I know that I will get at least 7 done 😂
Have a great week!

Thank you! That’s actually a brilliant idea – I should just list my ARCs, since I prioritize those, and then it would look like I was super accomplished haha!

Exactly! They are on the shelf and need reading by a certain date so why not 😂
