Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.
Okay, so if you’ve been checking out my blog, you probably already know that I’m a total sucker for series. I LIVE for series. Duologies, trilogies, longer, I’m all for them. And while I’m already in the middle of eleventy billion series (yes, that’s an exact number), there’s at least 10 that I would like to start! So in no particular order, here are ten series that I would like to start reading:

- Legendborn by Tracy Deonn. I’m super late to the party, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about it, and I have a copy on my shelf, so I don’t really have an excuse not to.
- Skin of the Sea by Natasha Bowen. Another one that I have on my shelf. It looks gorgeous, and sounds even better, so why haven’t I read it? I have no reason.
- The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker. I bought this almost a year ago, and it’s been on my radar for way longer. I love the idea of this and have heard so many great things about this book.
- The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart. I remember when these books first came out and literally everyone was raving over them, and I wound up buying the first one and … put it on my shelf where it has sat and judged me for not reading it for the past 10 months.
- The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter. Another one that looks incredible but I haven’t been able to commit to starting just yet. Although I did make plans to buddy read this one this month, so that’s hopeful!
- The Obsidian Tower by Melissa Caruso. This series looks incredible, and I was lucky enough to get copies of the first two books to read before the last book comes out, so I really should get started on that soon.
- Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler. Another trilogy that I was lucky enough to get copies sent to me of the first two books, so I have to start reading these also.
- The Bladed Faith by David Dalglish. This one looks so interesting, and I have a copy just staring at me from my bookshelf. Are you seeing a pattern?
- Incendiary by Zoraida Córdova. This is such a gorgeous cover and the story sounds amazing, and once again, sitting on my shelf for years and judging me.
- Witches of East End by Melissa de la Cruz. I keep seeing the show pop up, but I am putting it off until I read the book series, which I’m also putting off, so it’s a vicious cycle and I have this one my TBR.
What are some book series you’ve been meaning to start but haven’t yet?

I’ve read Golem and the Jinni and found it amazing – though I guess I didn’t realize it was a series. I’ll check into that. I can tell my TBR is going to be in trouble this week with all these great series being thrown in my face. Sigh. Well, it’s just a list, right? Who’s counting? Every single one of your books looks intriguing!

Skin of the Sea and Witches of East End both look amazing. There are some mystery series I would like to start if I find the time.

Thank you! There are so many amazing series out there – I still have to catch up on so many series, which is why I’m hesitant to start new ones.

I have yet to read the Shades of Magic series by VE Schwab! And while I did start the first book multiple times (and am currently starting it again), I also really want to read the whole These Violent Delights books by Chloe Gong, I literally got eARCs for all of them and have yet to read any 💀

Ooooh, I still have to read the Shades of Magic series too! It completely slipped my mind for this week, so thanks for reminding me. These Violent Delights was really good. I hope you give them a read!

I have Legendborn on my list this week as well. The sequel, Bloodmarked, is supposed to be released soon, and I can’t wait to be able to read it.

Well, the main one that comes to mind is A Tale of Magic, which is the prequel series to Land of Stories

I’ve never heard of that one. I hope you get to read it soon!

Than you probably never heard of Land of Stories. It is by Chris Colfer, aka Kurt from Glee
It centers on fraternal twins, Alex and Conner Bailey. It is about their adventures in The Land of Stories—-they encounter familiar and new fairy tale creatures and characters in that world

I’ve been wanting to read Witches of East End myself! Loved the show! Wished it would have continued…

I’m always nervous to watch a show before reading a book, but I’m glad to hear that it’s good!

I watched it before realizing it was a book!

I want to read The Wheel of Time. But I’m worried about taking on a series that
a)I’ve heard mixed things about — esp. the middle installments
b)I’m already ten thousand plus pages behind on reading.
So, I waver on whether to start or not. The Amazon series got me leaning toward at last trying book one.

Ha ha. I’m the EXACT same way! I just can’t resist sinking into a book world and getting to know its characters over time. I’m just not great at actually finishing all the series I’m reading. I hope you enjoy all these!
Happy TTT!
