Top Ten Tuesday

TTT – Bookish Wishes

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

There’s so many awesome books out there just waiting to come home with us, and that’s where the idea of a wishlist comes into play. I keep a running wishlist because I have a terrible memory, and this way I can just add the books that I really want to own when I think of it. While I don’t expect presents, I am grateful for any that I might receive. Here are ten of the books off my wishlist that I want the most:

  1. Light Bringer by Pierce Brown — I read all of the previous books in the series and I am completely sucked into it. I can’t wait for this one to come out!
  2. Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros — I’ve got all the FOMO for this one, and I’ve been told by multiple people I trust that this is one I can’t miss out on.
  3. Foxglove by Adalyn Grace — after reading Belladonna, I can’t possibly skip out on the sequel.
  4. Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao — I still haven’t read this one, but after seeing basically everyone I know raving about this book, I seriously need to get my hands on a copy.
  5. Juniper and Thorn by Ava Reid — this is another book that I keep seeing everyone loving, and I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy to read.
  6. Wrath Becomes Her by Aden Polydoros — this one sounds like a book that I can’t miss out on, and I do love the way that Polydoros writes. I just need to accept it and set aside a bookshelf for his books.
  7. The Will of the Many by James Islington — ever read an ARC so good that you just need to have a physical copy too? Yeah, that’s what happened here.
  8. When the Angels Left the Old Country by Sacha Lamb — I have the audiobook, but I need a physical copy of this gorgeous, overwhelmingly Jewish story.
  9. Throne of the Fallen by Kerri Maniscalco — I like Maniscalco’s writing, and I’m intrigued by the idea of a standalone novel set within the world that I already enjoy.
  10. A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber — this one is my guilty pleasure. Is the writing great? No. But is the story one that has pulled me in and won’t let me go? Absolutely.

What are some of the books on your wishlist?

    • I’ve also been hearing really good things, but considering that Fourth Wing came out recently and the sequel comes out in November, I think that’s a pretty decent amount of time to wait.
