I’ve been struggling for the last few months, and this month was another month aboard the struggle bus, both physically and mentally. On top of all that, I’ve been trying to finish up my holiday shopping, since Chanukah starts in less than a week from today! But in other news, I read a bunch more than I did last month, and got through some more of my ARCs, so I’m feeling much more motivated. I’m putting it out there that my goal is to start 2024 without any overdue ARCs, but any progress is still progress, right?
Here are my November updates:
- My follower count increased, so I’m now close to 560!
- I got through my July physical ARCs, and am now working on August. As for NG ARCs, I got through September and now I’m working on October.
- Of the 21 books I read in November, 2 were nonfiction. One was a book on witchcraft, and the other was a cookbook.
- I didn’t read any of my owned books this month.
- As far as diverse voices, I read 1 book by a Black author, 1 by an Indigenous author, 3 by Jewish authors, 4 by LGBTQIA+ authors, 1 by an AAPI author, 1 by a SWANA author, and 2 by Latine authors.
- For reading out of my comfort zone, I read 2 horror books.
- I haven’t made any more progress on my 12 in 12, but I did check off a prompt on my PopSugar 2023 challenge.

Give yourself a Hanukkah present: read a book not on any list or contract or required. Pretend you’re a kid. Just read something because it’s fun.

I have so many books I want to read just for fun. But I also have commitments to review – I’m slowing down on accepting new review requests, so hopefully things will slow down and I can start mixing in some of my own pleasurable reads that I haven’t promised to review. xoxo hope you’re doing well!

November:
Well it is Thanksgiving month- so there is always that to look forward
Than, if you love Christmas you start to find ways to get into Holiday Spirit early- for me, Southern Christmas Show, Small Business Saturday, and of course its the start of some decorating and enjoying Holiday Drinks at Coffee Shops

Thanksgiving was definitely the highlight of November – a great time with family and such yummy food that my sister-in-law made for us!
My family is Jewish, so December tends to be a bit of a drag for us with the Christmas overload everywhere we go, but I’m really glad that you enjoy the season and have a lot to look forward to in December. I’ll be having the family holiday party this weekend, so I’m looking forward to that.

At Bitty & Beau’s, we write messages on cold cups- during December, to be fair we just stick to neutral ones like “Happy Holidays”
