Top Ten Tuesday

TTT – Bookish Wishes

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

It’s time for bookish wishes again! This is where I discuss the top ten books I would love to own, but don’t yet, and get to include my Amazon wishlist. No one is obligated to actually purchase any books for me, but if you want to, just know that I will be forever grateful! You can find my wishlist here, and these are the top ten books that I want from my wishlist:

  1. The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride. I’ve heard nothing but amazing feedback on this book.
  2. The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn. It feels like everyone has read a book by her, and this one has been on my list for a while.
  3. Ashkenazi Herbalism: Rediscovering the Herbal Traditions of Eastern European Jews by Deatra Cohen and Adam Siegel. As an Ashkenazi Jew, I’m obviously curious about the herbal medicine of my own people.
  4. Sababa: Fresh, Sunny Flavors From My Israeli Kitchen: A Cookbook by Adeena Sussman and Michael Solomonov. Israeli food is so good, and something about summer makes me want it all the time. Plus I can’t pass on a book titled “Sababa” which translates from Hebrew to “everything is awesome.”
  5. A Morbid Taste for Bones by Ellis Peters. This has been on my TBR for years, and I already know I’m going to love it.
  6. Book of Night by Holly Black. I’ve loved all her other books and haven’t even gotten to this series yet. Shameful.
  7. This Dark Descent by Kalyn Josephson. This one looks so good, and I’d love to read it but also add a copy to my shelves.
  8. Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus. I’d love to get this book, I’ve been wanting to read it since it came out and just haven’t gotten around to it.
  9. A Deal with the Elf King by Elise Kova. This is another one that looks so good and I’ve heard great things about, but haven’t gotten to check out on my own.
  10. A Curse for True Love by Stephanie Garber. I’ve read the first two books in the series, and have my own copy of both, but dropped the ball with book three, and need to know what happens!

Do we have any bookish wishes in common? Have you read any of these? What did you think?

  1. I heard so much about Lessons in Chemistry because of the TV show. I hear it’s a good read though not one I’ve looked into much. Hope if you get the chance to read any of these you enjoy them all, Leah. 🙂

    • Thank you! I was so curious about the series, but I resisted watching until I read the book first. It’s tough though. I always hate watching a show before reading the book, you know?
