Beloved daughter. Skilled merchant. Future pirate?

Forced to leave her home as a child and sail the seas with her father’s crew, Brienne’s life has never been that of an average young woman.

Now, she’s trusted to go in and make a major deal on behalf of her father. With the hope of proving herself, claiming her place, and living the life she’s come to appreciate, she wanders into negotiations with her head held high. But as events begin to unfold and none of it goes according to plan, Brienne must fight the odds to save those she loves.

How did Brienne, the beloved daughter of a merchant, become part of Captain Lee’s pirate crew? Find out in this Nihryst story!

Have you ever loved a series so much that you’re willing to read anything that takes place in that world to get your fix while waiting for the next book to come out? That’s where I’m at with The Nihryst. While waiting for the third book in the series to be released, Cait has been blessing us with these short stories that provide insight into the pirate crew. Plus, she’s working some serious cover magic, because this one is gorgeous!

Brienne’s backstory is full of action and heartache, love and angst. She’s been one of my favorite of the pirate crew from the moment she was introduced, and reading about her backstory firmly cemented her place in my heart. I’m in awe of her strength and her determination to do what she feels is right, but beware — this story isn’t for the faint of heart.

This story is free to download right now, so check it out here!
