November was a wild ride! It started out pretty mild, but then it picked up a lot of speed at the end of the month. There was a really cool trend on Instagram called the #JewishBookstagramTour, highlighting all the amazing books by Jewish authors that feature Jewish characters and themes, so my TBR list grew by leaps and bounds. Thanksgiving came just days before Chanukah started, and I finally found a holiday readathon I can feel connected to, with the Hanukkah Readathon, which I’m so excited to be participating in. Plus, I did NaNo, and had a bang up month for reading. So I’d have to say that November was a successful month for me.
This year I vowed to focus on my goals for the year. So here we go:
- I gained 20 new followers on my blog, bringing my total up to 460! I passed my goal of 450, so my next goal is 500. Hopefully I’ll be able to hit that one soon.
- I’ve continued scheduling posts, getting them done well in advance, and it’s so much easier and less stressful this way.
- I won NaNo, writing 50 THOUSAND words in a month! I can’t believe I stuck to this goal and didn’t miss a single day in the entire month.
- So, I didn’t do very well on reading the books I own, but I did work my way through the stack of library books that I’ve got on my shelf. I think I’m going to have to make it a New Year’s resolution to read the books on my shelves, and hold myself accountable to that in 2022.
