Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.
This week’s topic comes from Deanna @ A Novel Glimpse. Even with all of the amazing books that I’ve read over the years, there’s always authors that I haven’t read yet, but hear so much about that I’m excited to read them. This has only gotten worse since I joined TikTok and Bookstagram, and my TBR list is currently out of control. Here’s some authors that I haven’t read yet but would like to:
- Xiran Jay Zhao — ever since Iron Widow came out, I’ve wanted to read it. But I haven’t gotten to it yet.
- Amélie Wen Zhao — I’ve had the first book of the Blood Heir Trilogy on my TBR forever, and am hoping to get to it sooner rather than later.
- Evan Winter — the Burning series seems so good, but my library doesn’t have it, so I’m going to have to request this.
- Jennifer Weiner — I see her books everywhere, and am struggling with serious FOMO.
- Helene Wecker — I can’t wait to read The Golem and the Jinni.
- Samantha Shannon — everyone has such great things to say about Priory, and I’ve promised myself that I’m going to read it this year.
- J.R. Ward — so many people rave about the Black Dagger Brotherhood, and I’m very curious about it.
- K.S. Villoso — i’ve wanted to read Chronicles of the Bitch Queen for so long. I mean, with a title like that, how could I not?
- Tracey Deonn — Legendborn has been sitting on my shelf since it came out, and for some reason I haven’t gotten to it.
- Renee Ahdieh — The Beautiful is another book that’s just been gathering dust on my shelf, and that I feel intensely guilty about not reading yet.

I figure Heaven’s prepared for readers and our TBR’s will just transfer over.

Give in to the peer pressure of Jennifer Weiner. xD Big Summer might be a good one to start with because it’s unexpected and clever and funny with a few surprises.

I quite enjoyed The Beautiful. I have yet to read the next books because I have gotten distracted with other books, but that is solely a ME thing, not something with The Beautiful 😂 if you catch my drift! I hope you enjoy all of these when you get to them. 🙂 (I too am curious about the Black Dagger Brotherhood series)

I totally get that – sometimes I read the first book in a series and then just wait too long and forget about what happened lol. Thanks for the encouragement, because now I’m even more excited for it.

Iron Widow is one I still need to pick up! I have a few Ward books but haven’t jumped in yet but plan to. I hope you enjoy these when you get to them!

I have only read one Weiner book and she wasn’t for me. That being said, so many people love her books so you probably will too. I hope you love all of these authors when you get to them.

I really enjoyed The Golem and the Djinn. I haven’t read the sequel yet, but I thought the story was really fun and interesting. I hope you like all these authors when you do finally read their books.
