Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.
As someone who adores reading series, I’m not always ready to let go of them even when they’re completed. I always wonder what happens after everything finishes up, and how everyone’s doing once things calm down in their lives! Here’s some completed series that I wish had more books:

- The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang.
- Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo.
- The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater.
- Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas.
- Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake.
- The Folk of the Air by Holly Black.
- Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco.
- Tiny Pretty Things by Dhonielle Clayton and Sona Charaipotra.
- The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.
- The Brown Sisters by Talia Hibbert.
What are some completed series that you wish had more books?

The Carls duology by Hank Green! An Absolutely Remarkable Thing and A Beautifully Foolish Endeavor are two of my favourite books and while I love how they complete each other, as a reader I always want more! I’ve only read the Raven Cycle once so I’m overdue for a reread, but I remember feeling like I never wanted it to end. I have yet to read Call Down the Hawk though so maybe that’ll help

I haven’t heard of most of those, but Call Down the Hawk is on my TBR, and clearly The Raven Cycle is a favorite of mine.

I definitely could use more Throne of Glass and Stalking Jack the Ripper books! All of these are great picks though!

There’s just something about Audrey Rose and Thomas that I love, and I struggled so hard to say goodbye! And I always wonder what happens to Aelin and Rowan and the crew after everything!

I’m terrible at reading a series, but I love the idea that there are more books to come. I am up to date with Crescent City, but that’s about it, unless of course it’s the start of the series, where there is currently only one book available, but i’m not counting those!! There are just so many books out there, and too little time to read them all! Enjoy your reading. Oh how did you find the Poppy war? I am interested to read it if I enjoy the authors writing style in Babel, when it releases. Would love to hear what you thought.

I loved The Poppy War (and Babel) – you can find reviews of all of them on my blog. I’m really trying to finish all the completed series that I’m currently reading, but I keep finding myself starting more!

I hope you get more instalments in all of these series soon!

Yes to so many of these, but particularly Throne of Glass and the Grishaverse!

Right? I love finding people to gush about all these books with, after a lifetime of being told I’m a nerd for reading!

I agree with Shadow & Bone. Here is my post- https://paigesofnovels.wordpress.com/2022/08/23/top-ten-tuesday-favorite-authors/.

At least there’s the Netflix show to get our fix, right?

Poppy Wars and Cruel Prince are series that are on my TBR and have been for a while as I keep seeing them on readers’ fave lists. Good to see you also liked them enough to want more!

My list turned more into “series I need to finish.” I wish Melanie Rawn would someday finish her Exiles series. But it’s been 25 years since the second book in the trilogy was released. I don’t expect we’ll ever see The Captal’s Tower to finish it, much less can I wish for more. Sigh.

That sounds like a great topic – I may have to borrow it, if that’s cool with you. And I thought I had it bad with waiting 11 years for GRRM to come out with the next book in A Song of Ice and Fire!

I would like for there to be more of The Raven Boys and The Cruel Prince.

There are so many great series that I honestly wish were continued. I always hate saying goodbye to characters and worlds.

I’ve seen The Lunar Chronicles on lots of lists today. I agree, although the series didn’t come to mind at all when I was making my list. Duh! I would gladly reenter that world and revisit the characters if Meyer decided to keep it going.
Happy TTT!

At least Stiefvater gave us a spin-off in her newest series about the Lynch family. But I wouldn’t mind more from the original cast.

She did? I didn’t know anything about this! I’m clearly going to have to look into this and hope that some of the original characters pop up.

The first book is called Call Down the Hawk. The second book is out and I think the third is coming soon.

Right? Some characters just grab hold of us and it’s tough to let them go.

For me, they have come in three categories:
On my TBR, I have series I need to finish, series to reread, and a new series to read

I have plenty in the other categories as well.

Well, one of the series I hope to start is a prequel series to one of my favorites
In the college years, I fell in love with Land of Stories. After discovering A Tale of Magic, the prequel series—-I knew I would eventually read it (but still haven’t)

I love all of them – I’d really enjoy a book about the grandma, with updates on how all of the sisters are doing.
