TTT – Bookish People I’d Love To Meet

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

This week’s topic is bookish people I’d like to meet, and there’s so many different directions I could take this in. There are plenty of authors and book characters that I would love to meet, but today I want to talk about some of my fellow book bloggers that I would love to meet in person. I’ve made some truly amazing connections over the few years that I’ve been in the bookish community, and I want to bring some attention to the people who bring me joy. So here they are:

  1. Becky from Becky’s Book Blog — she’s smart, fun, and hilarious, and the very first person that I did a buddy read with. I’d love to hang out with her in person and just chat about books and whatever else comes to mind. Preferably in England so I can get some real scones and clotted cream!
  2. Kim from PharmDPositive2 — she doesn’t have a blog, but I originally met her on Instagram and Facebook, and now we just text all the time. She lives clear across the country, and she makes the most amazing booktoks. I’ve linked her TikTok account, and she’s the most amazing, motivated, and hard-working person that I’ve ever met, so hanging out with her would just be my idea of the best time.
  3. Kristy from Caffeinated Fae — she is the very first friend that I made within the bookish community, and she’s become one of my very best friends in the world at this point. I don’t know how I’d get by without her, and I would love to just chill with her in real life.
  4. Cait from Functionally Fictional — she is another one of the first people that I connected with in the bookish community and has transitioned into one of my best friends. She’s my accountability buddy and biggest cheerleader and someone who just gets me, so I think meeting her for real would be super fun.
  5. Julie from One Book More — she’s a newer buddy read partner, and I love her sense of humor. It doesn’t hurt that we have similar tastes, and I think hanging out would be a riot.
  6. Lois from Aqua Venatus — we actually don’t live far from each other, but we have so much in common when it comes to books, and I would love to go to a convention or book show, or even just hang out and chat over coffee or something.
  7. Evelina from Avalinah’s Books — she’s another one of the early friends I made, and I love her personality so much. She’s brilliant and funny and quirky, and I think chilling would be a great time.
  8. Leelynn from Sometimes Leelynn Reads — here’s another old-school buddy of mine, and she’s so sweet and fun and friendly. She’s always made me feel so welcome and warm and fuzzy, and I would love to hang out with here and just pick her brain.
  9. Jodie from Witty and Sarcastic Book Club — she just comes off not only as very welcoming and down to earth, but super cool! I think spending time with Jodie would be fun and interesting.
  10. Beth from Before We Go Blog — if you’ve ever chatted online with Beth, you’ll know that she’s really friendly, fun, and outgoing, but in a laid-back way. I couldn’t help but feel drawn to her personality, and she’d definitely be one of the people I think meeting in person would be cool.

Who are some people in the book community that you’d love to hang out with?

    • Thank you! I’ve found that this is such a warm and supportive community, so I love letting people know how much I appreciate having them in my life. And podcasts are so cool – it feels like they’re friends already. I’ll have to check those out!

    • Thank you! I think it’s so important to give a shout out to other bloggers sometimes – it’s easy to feel like we’re shouting into the void sometimes. But wouldn’t it be fun to get all the bloggers together for a convention of our own?
