Top Ten Tuesday

TTT – My Spring 2023 TBR

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

Before I start talking about the books on my Spring TBR, I want to check in on the books I had listed on my winter TBR.

  1. The Poison Season by Mara Rutherford ❌
  2. Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian ✅
  3. The Final Strife by Saara El-Arifi ❌
  4. Bone Weaver by Aden Polydoros ❌
  5. Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler ✅
  6. The Witch and the Vampire by Francesca Flores ✅
  7. Assassin of Reality by Marina and Sergey Dyachenko ✅
  8. The Magician’s Daughter by H.G. Parry ✅
  9. The Bladed Faith by David Dalglish ✅
  10. The Faithless by C.L. Clark ✅

Ok, not too bad – 7 out of 10! That’s actually better than I thought I would do. I got a bit caught up between the HC Union strike and trying to make a dent in my mountain of ARCs, so I didn’t get to read many books outside of ARCs or audiobooks.

Which brings me to my Spring 2023 TBR. I’m going to keep it limited to physical ARCs (I have a bunch calling to me from my shelf) and books I’ve bought and am dying to read. Here they are in no particular order:

  1. Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo
  2. The Tyranny of Faith by Richard Swan
  3. Emperor of Ruin by Django Wexler
  4. A Shadow Crown by Melissa Blair
  5. The City of Dusk by Tara Sim
  6. The Fairy Bargains of Prospect Hill by Rowenna Miller
  7. We Ride the Storm by Devin Madson
  8. The Final Strife by Saara El-Arifi
  9. Bone Weaver by Aden Polydoros
  10. House of Hunger by Alexis Henderson

What’s on your Spring TBR? Do we have any books in common?

  1. Good for you reading so many from your last seasonal TBR. That’s always a great bookworm feeling. Hope you enjoy all on your planned Spring TBR. 🙂

    • I usually try to include a wider range of genres, but looks like spring is going to be fantasy-heavy for me. And that cover is gorgeous! I got the whole series in the mail and I couldn’t believe how pretty the covers for all of them are.

  2. Both your winter and spring TBR lists look amazing! And seven out of ten, wow! I could never, I’m so bad at sticking to any list when it comes to books, I’m such a mood reader. Hope you get around to reading all the books in your spring TBR as well, I’m just going to add the majority if them to mine and hope for the best!

    • Hahaha, thank you! I actually didn’t even look at the list but instead just kind of stuck to reading the physical ARCs I got and hoped for the best, and it ended up working out. I’m definitely a mood reader too, but I tend to do better when I have deadlines to meet. Good luck to both of us this spring!

    • I’ve started to receive physical ARCs, so I included those on the list, and since those come with a release date, I’m a bit more motivated to read them in a timely manner lol. I hope you enjoy the books on your TBR lists if you ever do read them!
