Top Ten Tuesday

TTT – Red White And Blue Book Covers

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

Today is Independence Day in America. Before I get into the prompt, I have to say that I’m incredibly disappointed in the state of affairs in my country, and feel like our country is moving backwards, in the worst possible way.

Today’s prompt is about book covers in the colors of my country’s flag. I know I talk a lot about my favorite books, so today I’m going to talk about some of the books on my shelves that I haven’t read yet. Here are just some of them:

  1. Legendborn by Tracy Deonn
  2. Codex by Lev Grossman
  3. The Latecomer by Jean Hanff Korelitz
  4. The Round House by Louise Erdrich
  5. The Gift of Asher Lev by Chaim Potok
  6. The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
  7. The Final Strife by Saara El-Arifi
  8. Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman
  9. The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson
  10. Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie

Are any of these on your list?

  1. Hi there Leah!

I don’t think you will be the only one expressing disappointment in your country today. It is becoming a universal problem.

I don’t know any of your books, but I have seen The Namesake before.

Luckily we still have some great books to get lost in!
