Friday Favorites – Books With Pink, Purple, Or Blue Covers

I’ve really missed doing Friday Favorites, and since no one was currently hosting it, Cait @ Functionally Fictional decided to jump into the gap. Each week, she provides a prompt, and I get to talk about my favorite books that fit the topic. Feel free to join in – the more the merrier!

This week’s prompt is books that have pink, purple, or blue covers. It’s a fun prompt because these are my favorite colors! I don’t typically seek out books that have these colored covers, but I have to admit that they do draw my attention. Here are some of my favorite book covers in my favorite colors:

  1. Hex and the City by Kate Johnson — this fun and exciting paranormal romance has a purple cover featuring our quirky characters.
  2. We Cry for Blood by Devin Madson — I loved this brutal fantasy series, and all the covers are beautiful, including this blue one for the third book.
  3. The Fiancée Farce by Alexandria Bellefleur — this gorgeous pink cover features a sapphic fake-dating romance that I adored.
  4. When You Wish Upon a Lantern by Gloria Chao — this YA romance was sweet and incorporated Chinese culture beautifully, plus it has a really pretty pink and purple cover.
  5. Emperor of Ruin by Django Wexler — this lovely purple cover hides a thrilling end to an epic fantasy trilogy that had me hooked from the very beginning of book 1.
  6. The Bone Shard Emperor by Andrea Stewart — this is the middle book in a trilogy and once I opened this blue cover, I couldn’t read fast enough!
  7. The 99 Boyfriends of Micah Summers by Adam Sass — this was a fun and sweet YA contemporary romance with an eye-catching purple cover.
  8. Unorthodox Love by Heidi Shertok — this adorable blue cartoon cover caught my eye immediately, but it hid a really deep and meaningful story with wonderful Jewish representation.
  9. The Six Deaths of the Saint by Alix E. Harrow — okay, so I’m going to call the stripes on the cover pink, but this is one of the best short stories I’ve ever read, and I don’t even like short stories.
  10. Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano — I couldn’t skip this pink-covered favorite of mine, and if you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend the audiobook version.

What are some of your favorite books with pink, blue, or purple covers? Have you read any of these?
