Friday Favorites – Books With Orange, Red, Or Brown Covers

I’ve really missed doing Friday Favorites, and since no one was currently hosting it, Cait @ Functionally Fictional decided to jump into the gap. Each week, she provides a prompt, and I get to talk about my favorite books that fit the topic. Feel free to join in – the more the merrier!

This week’s prompt is books with orange, red, or brown covers, and it’s just in time! The weather here is finally staying kind of chilly, and the leaves are changing. Having a post about books with covers that are similar colors to the leaves is perfect, plus it’s getting me in the mindset of Thanksgiving, and gratitude for everything that I have, which is more than I need. Here’s some of my favorite books with fall-themed colors, with an emphasis on recently read books:

  1. Foxglove by Adalyn Grace. The cover is so gorgeous, I couldn’t resist.
  2. The Honeymoon Crashers by Christina Lauren. I adore the cover and the story.
  3. The Bird Tattoo by Dunya Mikhail. I love this simple cover, hiding such a complex and heartbreaking story inside.
  4. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. This bright cover caught my attention, and the story inside is incredibly informational yet heartbreaking.
  5. Red River Seven by Anthony Ryan. This book sucked me in and held me fast.
  6. Shield Maiden by Sharon Emmerichs. This is such an intriguing cover, but an even better story.
  7. Chlorine by Jade Song. This cover caught my attention, and the story wouldn’t let it go.
  8. The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart. I seriously love this series.
  9. The Mystery at Dunvegan Castle by T.L. Huchu. This is such a cool cover, but the stories get better throughout the series.
  10. The Fires of Vengeance by Evan Winter. This series is simply incredible.

What are some of your favorite books with orange, red, and brown covers? Have you read any of the ones I listed?
