Fae Friday – Fire Faeries

Fae Friday is an awesome new weekly post created by Kristy at Caffeinated Fae. I’m super excited to participate in this (and to have been an avid supporter of it from the beginning)! A topic is provided each week, and Kristy is so welcoming to ideas from others. If you have any ideas for topics, reach out to her through her blog or on Twitter (@caffeinatedfae).

Here’s the rules:

  • Link back to this page on Caffeinated Fae.
  • If the prompt idea comes from another blog, link to that blog as well.
  • Use #FaeFriday when posting to social media so we can all find each other!
  • Participate when you can and have fun with the prompt!

This week we’re talking about fire faeries. Be cautious of these faes, or you might end up scorched! So, the prompt is:

What is a book that was so hot that you thought your book would burst into flames?

I had a really hard time picking one, so I just chose two. And I owe a HUGE thanks to Kristy for repeatedly and emphatically urging (read: practically demanding) that I read these books, only for me to discover how right she was. I swear, I’ll never, ever wait again when she makes a suggestions!

The first one is Hook by Gina L. Maxwell. It was my first romance in a really long time, and I honestly wasn’t sure if reading a M/M romance was going to be something I really liked. I LOVED IT. Gina is a goddess.

The second one is Desperate Measures by Katee Robert. Aladdin was always my favorite Disney movie, and this BDSM retelling is so hot I was worried that my Kindle would melt!

What’s the hottest book you’ve read lately?
