I’ve really missed doing Friday Favorites, and since no one was currently hosting it, Cait @ Functionally Fictional decided to jump into the gap. Each week, she provides a prompt, and I get to talk about my favorite books that fit the topic. Feel free to join in – the more the merrier!
This week’s topic is reading snacks, but I wanted to switch it up a little and add my own little twist. Since I don’t generally snack while I’m reading, I’m going to talk about book characters who are a snack! I’ve been reading some amazing books lately, and it’s relatively easy for me to develop a crush on a fictional character. Here are some of my favorite fictional characters who are a total snack:

- Delilah Green from Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake. She’s got the whole brooding artist thing going on, but also the kind of tortured soul with a heart of gold who just needs a little love and affection to shine. It doesn’t hurt that she’s covered in gorgeous tattoos, you know?
- Caiden Verran from The Dark King by Gina L. Maxwell. He’s handsome, confident, brilliant, protective, and smooth as silk. Definitely my kind of guy.
- Adam from Nothing But the Truth by Holly James. He was supportive, independent, encouraging without ever coming across as patronizing, and handsome. What’s not to like?
- Luli Wei from Siren Queen by Nghi Vo. I have to admit that I was halfway to falling in love with this character by the time I finished reading. She’s headstrong, stubborn, determined, smart, and gorgeous. That isn’t the kind of person I can resist.
I’m going to stop there, because I could probably go all day with this list, but who are some of your book snack characters?
