Top Ten Tuesday

TTT – Books With Animals In The Title Or On The Cover

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

Hi and welcome back! Last week was a bit hectic with Passover preparation and family visiting, and my schedule got a little thrown off. I wasn’t posting regularly for the first time in a long time, but after a short break, I’m back and ready to rock! This week’s prompt is book titles with animals in them or covers with animals on them, and it was submitted by Rachel @ Living on the Sunny Side. It was fun to look at the covers and see which ones had animals hiding in the design, so here’s my list:

  1. Our Crooked Hearts by Melissa Albert
  2. Weyward by Emilia Hart
  3. Speechless by Lindsey Lanza
  4. The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter
  5. Bryony and Roses by T. Kingfisher
  6. Dead Water by C.A. Fletcher
  7. Emperor’s Lion by Alex Gough
  8. Among the Beasts and Briars by Ashley Poston
  9. Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
  10. Cazadora by Romina Garber

What are some of your favorites?

  1. Oh, I love the covers you picked. I am just laughing at that dog floating along on the Speechless cover! And I just love the look of Weyward and Among the Beasts and Briars.

    • Thank you! I love when books featuring animals on the covers also have them involved as characters in the story. You’ve touched on some of my favorites out of this list – those three are all great reads!
