Fae Friday is an awesome new weekly post created by Kristy at Caffeinated Fae. I’m super excited to participate in this (and to have been an avid supporter of it from the beginning)! A topic is provided each week, and Kristy is so welcoming to ideas from others. If you have any ideas for topics, reach out to her through her blog or on Twitter (@caffeinatedfae).
Here’s the rules:
- Link back to this page on Caffeinated Fae.
- If the prompt idea comes from another blog, link to that blog as well.
- Use #FaeFriday when posting to social media so we can all find each other!
- Participate when you can and have fun with the prompt!
Here in the United States, the Fourth of July is a celebration of freedom. As we all know, freedom has not come without war and rebellion. Today’s Fae Friday prompt is:
What is your favorite book that shows rebellion and war to make a better future?
I’m all about the stories where the underdogs swoops in to beat overwhelming odds and save the world. For this prompt, two books came to mind immediately. The first one is an ARC of The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna that I was so happy to receive, especially once the release date was pushed back to 2021.
The second one is Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas, the final book in the Throne of Glass series.
What are your favorite books featuring rebellion and battle? Let me know so I can add them to my never-ending TBR!
