TTT Most Anticipated Releases For The Second Half Of 2020

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

Today’s top ten list is about my most anticipated releases for the second half of 2020.

So, the first half of 2020 had some seriously amazing book releases, and I’m fully expecting the second half to be just as good. Here’s some of my most anticipated releases:

1. Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

This is coming out on July 7 and I got an ARC that I really need to start. It sounds like such an awesome book, and I’ve heard some really good things from people who’ve read it.

2. Girl, Serpent, Thorn by Melissa Bashardoust

This is also being released on July 7 and it sounds so interesting.

3. The Faithless Hawk by Margaret Owen

This is coming out on August 18 and I’ve been waiting on pins and needles since the moment I finished reading the first book (The Merciful Crow).

4. Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

This gem comes out on September 1 and I can’t wait! I’ve heard so much about it from what feels like everyone and it sounds like such a great book.

5. The Black Kids by Christina Hammonds Reed

This book is being released on September 1 and it sounds seriously fascinating. It’s about a period of time that I remember, but that I was a little too young to really understand or process, and I’m really interested to see how this book handles it.

6. The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi

September 22 can’t come soon enough – I’ve been waiting for this since finishing the first book (The Gilded Wolves) and falling in love with the story and the characters.

7. Blazewrath Games by Amparo Ortiz

October 6 is another date I’m looking forward to – I’ve gotten to know Amparo through Twitter, and a) she’s such an awesome person, and b) this book sounds like something that is directly up my alley. I was heartbroken when I didn’t get an ARC through NetGalley, but hopefully October will come quickly!

8. The Archive of the Forgotten by A.J. Hackwith

October 6 is also the release date for the follow up to Library of the Unwritten, another book that I had read and loved! This one snuck up on me quietly, but I was pleasantly surprised to see this one pop up on NetGalley. Fingers crossed!

9. Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

This one is scheduled for release on October 13. While the author is new to me, I’ve heard a good buzz and it sounds incredibly intriguing.

10. Warmaidens by Kelly Coon

This is another ARC I’ve gotten and thank goodness I don’t have to wait for the October 20 release date to find out the rest of the story that started with Gravemaidens! Here’s a hint – book 1 was really good, so I’m expecting book 2 to be equally good (if not better).

What books are you looking forward to being released in the second half of 2020?
