Top Ten Tuesday

TTT Series I Need To Start Reading

Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.

This week’s topic is a freebie! I get to pick my own top ten list. And I’m pretty sure that if you’re reading this, you can identify with having a TBR list that’s out of control. I am definitely no exception. I have a bunch of series on my TBR (I totally love reading series because I get attached to characters and struggle to let them go).

Today’s post is a top ten list of series on my TBR that I’ve heard all about and just need to start reading already!

1. Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sims — I got the first book as part of an OwlCrate box, and it’s totally sitting on my shelf judging me for not reading it.

2. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake — I finally took this one out from the library, and since it is due soon, I’m definitely going to be reading it before it has to go back. Especially since it was highly recommended by a lot of people (especially Susan).

3. Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin — another book that’s sitting on my shelf judging me. And since book 2 is coming out soon, I should probably start reading it soon.

4. The Beautiful by Renee Ahdieh — this is … you guessed it … on my shelf!

5. The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff — this is one of those books that everyone seems to absolutely love, so maybe it’s time to actually give it a shot.

6. Girls of Paper and Fire by Natasha Ngan — I’ve had this one on my radar for such a long time, but haven’t gotten around to reading it for some reason. I really need to just do it already.

7. The Blood of Stars by Elizabeth Lim — the first book has been on my TBR list forever, and now that the second book has come out, I seriously need to get on top of this.

8. The Daevabad Trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty — I finally managed to get my hands on a copy of this one from the library and I cannot wait to read it! I’ve heard so many great things about it, and everyone seems to be finishing the trilogy and I’m definitely feeling left out.

9. Chronicles of the Bitch Queen by K.S. Villoso — come on, how can I resist reading a series about a bitch queen?

10. Villains by V.E. Schwab — I’ve had this series on my radar for a while, and I did promise Dini that I’d read it. Unfortunately, my local library doesn’t have it, so I’ll have to request it from another library.

What do you think? Any other series I need to add to the list?
