August was incredibly hot, but it’s a step closer to autumn, which is one of my favorite seasons! Bring on the changing leaves, pumpkin everything, cool weather, and boots and sweaters!
Last month was also super busy for me, but I still managed to read an impressive amount of books, which I’m very proud of. I am slowly working on organizing my bookshelves, but it’s a pretty big task.
I still want to keep up with the trend of highlighting positive things each month, so here’s my positives for August:
- I finally read some books that have been on my TBR for a long time, and I was pleasantly surprised.
- I completed my readings for round 2 of BBYNA readings.
- Dietary changes are making a difference in my pain levels, which is a really big deal for me!
- I’ve transitioned my blog over to WordPress, and I really like the new platform.
- I participated in the Diversify the Shelf Readathon, and while I didn’t finish, I did read a few books from different cultures/ethnicities/identities than my own.

I am always so amazed at your numbers! You are a powerhouse! Psst. If you need help deciding how to organize your books you know my number! It’s seriously one of my favorite things to help with! I do, signed vs. unsigned & then separated out by genres & then organized by the author’s last name.

Omg I just mean clearing the crap off the bookshelves so I can use them for my growing collection, which is piling up everywhere BUT my bookshelves

Yeah, I definitely need to do the same. I have random things piled on my books. My bookshelves are also completely full and I’m seriously trying to figure out how I could sneak an 8th bookshelf into my house.

I have a bunch of shelves that are only half used and not even for books. I’m not maximizing my space, so the goal is to get organized better (so I can get more books) 😂

Wow, love all your stats at the start! I’m always envious of people who know all their stats because I’m way too disorganised (and lazy lol) for that! Looks like you had an amazing reading month with all those 4 and 5 star reads 🤩 There are quite a few that you’ve read that’ve been on my TBR for too long and I’m looking forward to reading them! Hope you have a great month of reading in September!

Kristy (Caffeinated Fae) shared an awesome spreadsheet that tracks all the stats! She’s really the organized one here! It was definitely a great month for me, I recommend a lot of the books – you’ll love them, my bookish twin!
