December was my best reading month out of the whole year (38 books!), and it actually wound up being a rather low-stress month. I always find myself reflecting on the year during December, and while 2021 was definitely another dumpster fire of a year, there was also a lot of good to be found in it. I’ve connected with so many great people, and read a ton of great books. In addition, there were so many books I didn’t get to, but that look incredible and that I can’t wait to read. So as expected, my TBR grew exponentially. There was also a great book sale that I took full advantage of right after the holidays, so now I have some more books to read. I even got out of my comfort zone and started a BookTok account! I did pretty well with my 2021 goals, so I decided to set some new ones for 2022.
I’m hoping to:
- Further grow my blog and social media. I gained another 23 followers on my blog, leaving 2021 with a grand total of 483. I’m still working towards hitting the 500 follower mark, and hopefully that one will come up soon.
- I’m one of those people who view buying books and reading books as two separate hobbies. So this year, I want to read the books that I already own. I’m still going to be a regular at the library, but I definitely want to get through my own bookshelves.
- I read a grand total of 335 books in 2021, and hopefully I can read more than that in 2022, even though I’ve set my goal for 200 currently.
