Top Ten Tuesday used to be a weekly post hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, but was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl. “It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.” This is definitely something I can understand and want to participate in.
I’m all full of unpopular opinions lately, and one of my biggest unpopular confessions is that I truly dislike summer. It’s hot, bugs are everywhere, and traffic is so much worse. There’s so many things going on, but they’re all outside, so that just means being hot and sweaty and surrounded by other hot and sweaty people. Give me winter any day of the week.
Now that I’ve gotten all that off my chest, this week’s topic is all about book covers that feel like summer, and was submitted by Ellie @ Curiosity Killed the Bookworm. I generally don’t put too much thought into seasonal book covers, although I do find myself reading less mystery/thrillers, and more cozy mysteries and romances in the summer. Here are my top ten book covers that just scream summer:

Great collection of covers! I like when they’re all in a group like that; I kinda let my eyes blur and the colors swim together, creating SUMMER! I thought this was a really fun theme this week.

Sorry to sound “murderous”, but Cold Brew Corpse sounds fantastic and the cover looks like just the right summer escape. Same goes for Murder at the Blueberry Festival! I am assuming they are both cozy mysteries set in small towns. 🙂

I don’t like summer either! We are having a heatwave at the moment and I am not impressed!

Ugh – heatwaves are the absolute WORST! The Beacon Bakeshop series is super fun and I highly recommend it – it’s a great cozy mystery series that has quickly become one of my favorites. I hope the heatwave passes quickly and you have a great week too!

Even though I suggested this topic, I’m not the biggest fan of being hot…which isn’t usually too much of a problem during UK summers, but this year I am resenting it!

I’m kind of jealous, since it gets so hot in the US, although it feels like every summer has been hotter than the last lately, everywhere. It was a great topic though!

Haha I feel that way about summer too sometimes. Once the heat and humidity kicks in I start dreaming of fall. 🙂 Anyway, great covers, I like the one for Reckless girls a lot- plus I thought it was fun book. 🙂
