I’ve really missed doing Friday Favorites, and since no one was currently hosting it, Cait @ Functionally Fictional decided to jump into the gap. Each week, she provides a prompt, and I get to talk about my favorite books that fit the topic. Feel free to join in – the more the merrier!
With the holidays approaching, everyone in my life already knows that buying me books is a safe bet. But a bookworm can’t live on books alone, right? Obviously, there’s other necessities that can be highly beneficial to the bookworm lifestyle.

Here are some awesome ideas that you can’t go wrong with:
Fuzzy blankets — when it’s cold outside, is there anything more comforting than cozying up under a soft throw blanket with a good book?
Book light — this is a must-have if you share a bedroom with someone who wants to sleep when you’ve just got to read one more chapter (or finish that book).
Bookish tote bag — how else are we supposed to carry all those books around?
Book sleeve — if you’re like me and can’t leave the house without a book, this protects the book while it’s in your bag.
Adorable mugs — for me, cozy blanket + hot drink + good book = heaven, and a plain mug just doesn’t do it for me. This is when mugs with cute sayings on it come in to save the day.
Warm socks — I love socks with cute designs, and these are a holiday gift that can’t miss.
Candles — scented candles are one of my favorite things, and I’ve recently become obsessed with wood wick candles that sound like I’m sitting next to a crackling fire. There’s even bookish themed candles!
Bookmarks — since dog-earing books is a no-no for most bookworms, there are a ton of gorgeous bookmarks available.
Bookish crafts — I’ve seen some gorgeous crafts made from recycled books, and while I’m not crafty in any way, I’ve seen some that I’d love to have around my house.
Did I miss any? What are some bookish gifts you’d love?

I’ve toyed with the idea of purchasing a book sleeve, but usually end up just sticking with my Kindle when I travel since it’s lighter. But I do agree it’s a nice thing to have for when you just have to continue reading that physical copy…I know it’d get banged up in my bag since I tend to not carry huge bags with lots of space. Great list and I agree with all of it!

Thank you! I got two book sleeves when I had OwlCrate and they actually do come in handy, even though I also tend to bring my kindle more often.
