April was a long month, and I was struggling with reading physical books for a lot of it, despite the huge TBR shelf that I have waiting for me. I wound up reading more books than before (44 books!), although a lot of them were audiobooks, and then I made a push towards reading ARCs at the end of the month. This month was a good one for reading though, with a lot of 4 and 5 star books. And I definitely made more progress on my goals:
- I gained 21 new followers, bringing me to a total of 569.
- I managed to read 4 books that I own, although 3 of them were physical ARCs.
- I read 2 more nonfiction books this month, one of which was a true crime and one that explained more about the Uyghurs in China.
- As for diversity, I think I did pretty well, reading books written by (and about) Black, Asian, Latinx, and LGBTQ authors.

I have ARCs for Shara Wheeler and Nettle and Bone that I didn’t manage to read before pub day but I’m so excited for both of them! My April reading was super sporadic and all over the place, but I did read some great books and discovered new faves which is always nice.
